I believe the Lord brings us to a point in our lives where WE know that all we need is Him.

We pass through our daily lives – routinely, if you will – and we say we have Jesus Christ living in us, we know that He will be with us always “even to the end of the world”; and we devote time to Him once, or maybe more times out of the day. Then we pray, “Lord, I need, I want more of You in my life, please fill me with Your presence. May Your Holy Spirit fill me that I may have more of You and less of me.” We pray these anxious prayers from a longing heart, and God hears.

What do you think His answer will be? God is not a vending machine, and He will not be toyed with, so if you want more of God, His response will be, “My child, you need to devote more of your time to Me.”

The apostles gave themselves to fasting and prayer, the prophets and countless others did the same. They were truly devoted.

Analyze:

  • If you want more of God in you: What do you do with your time now? Do you use it to watch movies or other TV shows, sports, read books, play games or do other recreational activities? If you were to analyze how you spend your time versus what you need to spend the time doing in day to day living, you may find how much more time can be opened up for God if all the unnecessary things were gotten rid of. Much like getting rid of the clutter in a home or work space. If you open the space in you for God, He will fill it – when it is no longer occupied with the busyness, to-do's, activities and entertainment.

  • Ask Him to help you analyze your home and life for Him: to look at things from His perspective in order to keep only the things that will truly benefit now and eternally.

  • Think, “How long will I allow the things of this world – that are right now a part of my life- to prick me, to be thorns in my side? What will the end of this be? I must root up and throw out these things that are trying to choke the Word of God out of me. I must get rid of them, or they will destroy me.” God intended for man to take care of the garden.

So my dear brother or sister, what will your end be?

Will you serve God or mammon? We cannot serve both. One will overcome the other.

I pray that God is permitted to rule in your life, so that in your garden there is much fruit born in your life - the fruitfulness of the Holy Spirit of God.

I pray that we will be found to be good, excellent keepers of the Garden of God.

In Christ's name. Amen.

In Christ's love, so I love you all.

May God bless you and keep you, may His name be glorified in you.

Amen.
