Jesus came not to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17)
Abraham believed GOD and it was imputed to him for righteousness. (James 2:23)
David described the blessedness of the forgiven man saying:
“Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to
whom the LORD will not impute (to lay the responsibility or blame for) sin” (Psalm 32:1-2)
God is not the God of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles – HE is one GOD – both Jews and Gentiles will be justified by faith. (justify: to show to be just, right, or reasonable. To free from blame or guilt).
Romans 4:14-25
For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none
effect: … 15b - for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace [power]; to the end the promise might be sure
to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of
Abraham; …
18 Who against hope believed in hope, … 19 And being not weak in faith, … 20 He staggered
not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.
22 And THEREFORE [this is why] it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, … 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed,
if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25 Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.
Righteousness was counted to Abraham because he, not only believed initially, but continued to believe through all the years of waiting for the promise to be accomplished. He was fully convinced that because God promised, He was very capable of doing it.
The promises of God will be fulfilled to us IF we believe as Abraham did - completely convinced that God will do what He said He would. Righteousness will be counted to us, as it was to Abraham, if we believe on Him who raised up Jesus Christ from the dead.
John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on His name:
Romans 5:1-2
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope
of the glory of God.
Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:6-7
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed,
that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Romans 6:12-13, 16
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves
unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of
righteousness unto God.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye
obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Romans 6:22-23
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto
holiness, and the end everlasting life.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God, in His Wisdom and mercy, made a distinction between two groups of people: those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and those who do not believe on Him. Now, every human being has a choice which is left available for them: to be saved or not.
Galatians 3:22
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might
be given to them that believe.
What will you do?
Will you be saved? Are you willing to believe?
If so, ask Jesus Christ into your heart and to wash you clean from your former sins by His blood that was shed on the cross. Believe on His name, that He was raised from death to life, and that through Him we have life eternal.
Glorify God and live for Him in thankfulness for what He has done, looking forward to what He is going to do. Read His word and He will teach you all that you need to know and will lead you in the right path for His name's sake.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all
things are become new.
To the Lord's name be praise, glory, honor and power forever. Amen.
